Greetings, Readers
WWS CAMPAIGN: We are not planning on a demo at the moment as State Government have approved the Wws proposal, and a demo may not achieve anything (except raising awareness). However, Wws still need a Section 68 Certificate from Byron Shire Council which confirms their sewage arrangements are adequate. Since Council find them "unacceptable" it is unlikely they will issue the S68 which is required before they can get a Construction Certificate and start building. Ray Darney from Council is quite sure Wws will not break the law and start building (I do not share his confidence).
Please report any sightings of possible Wws construction to me at 66843723.
Below are some interesting items that have recently crossed my desktop.
Regards, Deborah
COMMUNITY GARDENS: Jeanette Martin will be addressing Council at Public Access between 9-10 on Thurs (12/3) requesting support so they can start growing food. She would love to fill the chambers with brightly coloured supporters (waving sunflowers, etc). Jeanette"s no: 66844876
