Greetings amigos
WOOLWORTHS CAMPAIGN:
A letter to James Strong, Chairman of Woolworths, has been printed out and is available for your signature at the table outside Santos in Mullumbimby (near water machine). If you"d like an emailed copy of the letter, or can help out on the stall, contact me via
http://www.mullumaction.org
We"ve got about 500 of these letters signed already and the plan is to hand them over to Mr Strong himself and have the event filmed and put in our next Stateline clip. This action is in conjunction with advert in tomorrow"s Financial Review which quotes the Northern Star poll which showed 87% of pollsters think Mullum does not need a Woolworths, while 12% do. Thanks to MagicalMullum.com for the FR ad.
GLOBAL CENTRE FOR LOCALISATION:
Plans are underway for a strategically placed centre in Mullumbimby which will be a national and international hub for localisation, strengthening local communities and raising awareness about important issues. More news soon.

The Intervention Awareness Group in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales are holding a Garage Sale to raise funds to assist Ampilatwatja (Um-bludder-watch) community with their "Walk Off" camp.
Ampilatwatja will be opening their "Protest House" this weekend. They have achieved this with the support of the wider Australian community and Trade Unions.
Ampilatwatja Elders decided to walk off their community as a peaceful protest to the neglect of the Federal Governemnt. The government 'deemed' the community 'unviable' and therefore not entitled to new housing.
