Woolworths barricades & John Hatton meeting

WOOLWORTHS: It"s for our own good!

BARRICADE FURPHY

6 months of barricades in Station Street is to "protect" us and provide safety for pedestrians and motorists while Woolworths build their supermarket down the other end of Station Street! Their roadworks for Station Street were supposed to be completed within 3 months from 7 June. An email from BSC has confirmed that the barricades will be up till Christmas. Meanwhile, Woolworths continue to use Station Street as a building site; storing pipes, soil and heavy equipment. Further redirection of traffic will continue until February while Woolworths construct a roundabout outside Milk and Honey.

"NSW IS A CORRUPT STATE"

JOHN HATTON, seasoned campaigner against political corruption,
standing for NSW STATE ELECTION March next year,
is interested in our local issues eg the Woolworths issue in Mullumbimby, TOOT, festivals and caravan parks. Local speakers on these issues & John Hatton will be at a public meeting:
Mullumbimby Civic Hall 7pm Friday 5th November;
organised by local stalwarts COMMUNITY VOICE (Louise Doran and Michele Grant).
Visit http://www.johnhatton.com.au for interesting rundown
check "what a stench" on his website for links relating to corruption.

NEWPORT WOOLWORTHS
Oh dear, is that a stench coming from Newport? All but one councillor voted to change the zoning which will allow the massive Woolworths to progress to DA stage in sensitive seaside small town. See http://www.newportversuswoolies.org or ask me for their latest newsletter.
