WOOLWORTHS –v- GETUP!
Pokies Reform legal battle

GetUp! are needing funds for a legal battle with Woolworths in The Federal Court, Sydney, on Friday. GetUp asked Woolworths shareholders to propose an EGM (Extraordinary General Meeting) to ask Woolworths to place a $1 limit per bet, and 210 shareholders called for the EGM. Woolworths have filed the request with the Federal Court to get the EGM, a legal entitlement, scrapped.

MAKE MULLUM CSG-FREE

CSG-free communities: The Channon, Keerrong, Terania Creek, Tuntable Creek, Dunoon, Tyalgum and parts of Lismore. So far none of Byron Shire has declared itself CSG-Free – yet!


MEETING for people who are willing to help form a working group to declare Mullum CSG-free will be held at the Mayor"s Room, Mullum Neighbourhood Centre. Meet Annie Kia, initiator of the successful strategy used in The Channon.
