SAT 26 OCT – 10.30 am

GASFIELD-FREE PHOTOSHOOT – MULLUMBIMBY

The photoshoot will take place at the new Gasfield-Free (GFF) sign, approaching Mullumbimby east near the junction of Mann"s Road on Saturday 26th October at 10.30am. Colourful banners, LTG triangles and plentiful people will strengthen our message. All welcome – please engage your neighbours and bring them along!

As this is the grande finale to our survey process, we need a stunning photo of our GFF sign with exuberant supporters and our iconic Mt Chincogan in the background to put in ‘pressure letters" to politicians. In particular, our Minister for the North Coast, Don Page, who is protector of communities from ‘menacing dogs" (see his website), what will he do to protect us from menacing miners? Will a good turnout at our lovely sign declaring 95% community want to be gasfield-free help persuade Don to make a difference? With Metgasco poised to sink a new well at Bentley near Lismore, our water catchment is under threat again.

BUCKET DAY – BYRON MARKET
We are still needing financial support for various GFF signs in the shire and Byron Community Market will allow our groups to collect donations at the market. Please contact Olga 66803014 if you"re willing to help out.


GARAGE SALE last week raised $100 and thanks to those who contributed goods and Neil and Neil for their generous donations.
