FLUORIDE DEBATE TOMORROW AT COUNCIL
Fluoride-free photoshoot 8.15 am outside council chambers

Fluoride cannot be filtered out of tap water, according to Cassie of Alkaway Water Filter supplier in Byron Industrial Estate. My expensive you-beauty Masterpiece filter will only take out about 15% of fluoride added to town water. The best we can do with filtration is to use a pre-filter of activated alumina which puts aluminium into the water, and then you"ll need a KDF filter to remove the aluminium and then my Masterpiece carbon filter – even with those 3 special filters only 85% of fluoride will be removed. Distilling the water is the only way, and that would remove all the minerals that are needed by the body. Cassie(@)alkaway.com.au

Last week I was fortunate to spend 7 days walking in the Nightcap National Park and Whian Whian State Forest and I walked through the Rocky Creek Catchment area on my way to Protestor's Falls.

The catchment area is breakthtakingly beautiful; the songs of unique forest birds give musical accompaniment to the joyous flowing of clean water through the magnificent filtration system that nature has perfected over millions of years.

The water in our biosphere has been recycled ever since the big bang; adding industrial chemicals such as fluoride increases the burden on nature's filtration systems, as well as on our kidneys.

Our water would be the envy of much of the developed world. Whilst at Protestor's Falls, a film crew of 70 people arrived (complete with catering refrigeration trucks) to film an ad for Mount Franklin water - owned by Coca Cola. They came here from Sydney to film our water catchment area because it is exemplary.

To imagine that we can improve upon millions of years of evolution by adding fluoride to our water because Cr Wood's grandchildren's teeth are rotten (this is what I heard on the radio) is madness.


OUR WATER IS SACRED – PLEASE KEEP IT FLUORIDE-FREE.
