MAULES CREEK (LEARD FOREST) INFORMATION NIGHT

SAT 11 JANUARY, MULLUMBIMBY CIVIC CENTRE – 6 – 8 pm

BAKE A CAKE FOR THE LEARD FOREST!

Donations of finger food requested for special information evening about the Leard Forest and Whitehaven Coal's open-cut coalmine expansion as approved by Federal Court last year.

A blockade at Maules Creek has been established for nearly 18 months and they need our support! This Sat at the Mullum Civic there will be talks from Ahri Tallon, a blockade veteran; Alan Roberts and Matthew Townsend of AYCC as well as pics or movies.
Stopping this mine is strategically important and pivotal in the on-going threat to our environment and climate.


WHEN: Sat 11 Jan 6 - 8 pm

WHERE: Mullum Civic Centre

Cakes and savouries are needed to provide refreshments on the night and raise funds to go to the Maules Creek Blockade. The Leard Forest contains over 4,000 ha of critically endangered native boxgum woodland of which there is only 0.01% left in the world in good condition.
