PREPARE FOR BENTLEY BLOCKADE AT NON VIOLENT DIRECT ACTION WORKSHOP
Lismore Workers Club Thursday 13 March 6pm sharp 9 pm presented by Lismore Cr Simon Clough and Adam Guise LTG Regional Coordinator how to be a smart protester, roleplays, social movements and your Rights and the Law.
LOCK THE GATE ON THE FINANCIAL BRINK ....
LTG is in financial difficulties. To become self-sufficient they need a big data base of supporters (like for Oxfam or Greenpeace) specifically, 750 people giving monthly donation of $30 or so:
http://www.lockthegate.org.au/regular_donations
But first we need a small crack volunteer data-entry team that can transcribe onto spreadsheets the contacts details of people who want to receive updates.
We are looking for reliable people who are accurate at adding data to spreadsheets.
This job will appeal to some because they can do it at home. It would be ideal if we could engage people who are not already too busy in Action Groups.
We urgently need this to help grow the movement by pulling a small, crack data team together.
We'll be holding an initial briefing on Wed 12th March 4.30 in Lismore.
If you know someone who would be good at this, and is keen and reliable, could you ask them to call Annie Kia 02 66 886-260

Metgasco, a Sydney based gas exploration and production company, has returned to the Northern Rivers and now plans are underway to drill a 2 kilometre deep well in a tight sands gas deposit just 14 kilometres upstream from Lismore. Funds are needed to cover costs for campaign strategies such as media and rallies, protest camp and legal fees. This is a crowdfunding project set up on the Rainforest Information Centre's new Rainforest Connections website. 100% of funds raised will go towards the campaign and all donations are tax deductible.

Many in the Northern Rivers are standing up against unconventional gas exploration. Our attention now is on Metgasco's plans to drill a 2km deep tight sands gas well at Bentley, just 14kms upstream from Lismore CBD. For those working to halt these activities we need good skills to keep ourselves feeling well, to communicate skillfully with others, to think clearly and to act effectively. The work of Deep Ecology, Non Violent Communication and Ecopsychology are combined in this workshop on communicating in difficult situations, self care, emotional support and resilence for those involved in working for a gasfield free Northern Rivers. Facilitated by Ruth Rosenhek and Paulette Bray Narai
