Please come and support Byron Shire Council’s stand against Woolworths!

WHERE: Apex Park, next to Mullumbimby Railway Station

WHEN: Monday 28th September, 9 am.

Our council refused Woolworths sewerage application because it does not meet health standards. Now Woolworths are challenging BSC’s decision in the Land and Environment Court, Ballina, 28th to 30th September; next week.

The Judge and all the court players will be inspecting the site in Station Street, Mullumbimby, where Woolworths are intending to build their big box supermarket as well as an on-site sewer.

We are planning a silent vigil in support of our council’s decision to protect public and environmental health (silent so we don’t upset the judge). We would also like maximum impact so colourful placards and banners are welcomed. National press will be there.

Please bring the kids (they don’t have to be silent!).
