Bake A Cake for The Leard Forest

Bake A Cake for The Leard Forest

Donations for finger food requested for special information evening about the
impending doom of the Leard Forest if Whitehaven's coalmine is expanded as approved last year.
A blockade at Maules Creek has been established for nearly 18 months and they need our support!
Stopping this mine is a strategically important and pivotal action to stop 57% of Australia getting mined for fracked as per licences granted (map: www.calltocountry.com).

WHEN:    Sat 11 Jan  6 - 8 pm
WHERE:  Mullum Civic Centre

Cakes and savouries are needed to provide refreshments on the night and raise funds to go to the Maules Creek Blockade.  This is part of the Leard Forest containing over 4,000 ha of critically endangered native boxgum woodland of which there is only 0.01% left in the world in good condition as well as endangered species including koalas.   check
