Mullumbimby Hospital night Emergency Service under threat!

Replacement of the night doctor with a "Telehealth" videolink to Tweed Hospital may come into affect from October 2012, unless we all write letters to the people below demanding they save our night doctor service.

Removal of the night service means that if you have an accident or need emergency attention you will have to address your problems to a camera lens and a doctor in Tweed will be able to see you, but you won't see the doctor.

If the doctor considers your condition is worthy of personal attention, you will be sent to Tweed by ambulance costing $1300 each way and requiring 2 paramedics and one driver to be called out from sleep. The point of this downgrade is to save money!!  Mullum Hospital services 16,000 people (2006 census) so please support our community by contacting the people who make the decisions and demand that there be no more reduction in services at our hospital!
